32 Years Strong

LookAfter Hair Company is proud to be a local and family owned hair salon, now 32 years in business. Here is a special anniversary note from Peter Hall, LookAfter owner and founder, to LookAfter associates: 

Today is a very special day for all of us at LookAfter.  32 years ago today, we opened our very first salon at Southroads.  Many of you have heard my story about that first day before, but a lot of you haven’t.  In fact a lot of you weren’t even born as of October 12, 1985.  The picture below shows what our salon looked like that day.  The fixtures that were to be delivered and installed days before the opening were never delivered, in fact they were never built.  The cabinet maker lied to us and never built them, just taking our advances and spending them.  As you can see, instead of stations, we had boxes stacked up, and the reception desk was a card table out of my basement from home.  We had heavily advertised our opening, so we had no other choice but to open and I wondered why anybody would ever come in that day.

But they did come in, and have continued to come in because of the wonderful stylists we have chosen.  This week we are celebrating you, our wonderful stylists, and everything you do to make LookAfter what it is.  We proved it on day one, and every day since then.  It is you, our stylists, who make things happen, and keep our clients coming back for more of the great experiences that you provide.

I can’t thank you enough, and I am proud of every one of you.
